2012 ANNOUNCEMENT!

Great news my photoshop fellows, we are working with Bramkamp Printing at the Graphic Village complex in Blue Ash. We will be holding our meetups in the training room with our projector/ screen. This is very exciting news also because we will have guest speakers talking about general printing, paper and print media and slew of related products.

I will be making further announcements as we refine our partnership with Bramkamp Printing.

THE MEETUP

1. Lets mingle and talk with each other :) for the first 45 min or so, we'll chat with other attendees and get to know each other and exchange contact info.

2. This meetup I'm going to walk through a retouch process from a model shoot. (my work flow process (NEF to DNG, exporting, crop, added makeup, skin corrections, color, contrast, quick mask tool, layer features.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please be aware of some changes. I anticipate the limited space of this location to fill up quickly, so it will be important to RSVP. Once the RSVP has been filled I will have a waiting list,  many times members cant make it for one reason or the other. The waiting list will fill that next available slot when a person changes their RSVP.

I'm currently looking for a food, drink sponsor. The sponsor should have health type snacks, sandwiches (preferably kosher). The drinks should be non-carbonated, healthy, juices, flavored water, etc. Please contact me if you have a contact person.

*NOTE I will be using CS5 for the new year, upgrading from CS3. Like in the past if you are using an older or newer version, the core features and power of photoshop are the same. So don't worry that you're not using the newest version. You will still be able to do lots of great things with your graphics or images.

**NOTE: I have always made this group "free" and have taken on all expenses associated with the group. But for this New year and going forward I'm asking when you attend or register for a meetup that you make a small $5.00 contribution. You can use either Pay-Pal or Amazon payments (you don't need an account with them, to make payments) so far this not a mandatory payment. If something doesn't work as expected please contact me.

Your humble host :)

See you tonight, looking forward to the presentation. For us who are GPS dependent a zip code is helpful. Thanks.

Thank you Peter :) I'm sorry the zip doesn't show up easily...but if you click the venue name (Bramkamp) it takes you to the Google map where the complete address is displayed.

    Humble Host, Organizer
A special thanks to John Yung for letting us use his laptop. We had a full class and everyone seemed to really get involved and participated in some way. I cant wait to do it again very soon.

Well presented, learned much. The opportunity to ask individual questions and have them answered. My understanding of CS5 has been increased and I can use the program in a more sophisticated manner.

I think that we got off on too many tangents. While the the discussions were helpful and brought up good points, for someone very novice to the CS5, taking one path and noting each step would probably been better. Kind of like building a foundation to work from and better understand some of the more advanced things others brought up.
