amateur photographer, uses Pentax camera and glass, Kx moving up to K5. Uses photoshop and silver efex pro 2. I have no patience to read the large PS manual and am not utilizing the potential of the software.
I would like to participate by attending meetings or classes, doing on-line exercises, sharing photos for critiques….
Elements 9
I have been using it about a year. I don't use layers which I understand is the most powerful aspect of PS. I crop and sharpen and utilize the histogram and do some creative stuff.
I take lots of photos with a nascent idea of the image I want, then I discover and create in photoshop and in silver efex pro 2. I love B@W
I want to learn how to be comfortable with more aspects of PS.
Tony has a lot of knowledge, he is funny, he answers all of your questions, and he doesn't seem to mind when you, (me), are rude and begin to talk to your neighbor instead of paying attention. A problem I have had since grade school!!! Tony's philosophy is that there are no absolute, fixed rules with which to approach an image, that one approaches each individual image and one makes editing decisions based on how that image speaks to one. This is brilliant, I think. I loved the meetup.
