Currently I'm instructing basic photoshop classes at our Cheviot Rd Photography Studio. The current schedule is Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:00 PM, times are subject to change based on participation or other scheduling conflicts. This course will be a 3 week series (6 total classes)
At the end of each series, a new series will begin (dates announced and posted at that time) Its possible to miss certain classes and retake them later on, although I recommend following the series for best results. ----------------------------- Here is a class outline: CLASS 1: Introduction to menu bar, preferences, tools, work space, and various program settings. We will talk about witch tools are popular and how certain tools are used. I will hand out sheets naming many keyboard shortcuts along with screen shots of tools and for you to take notes. CLASS 2: Introduction into importing images, naming, exporting, saving, opening various files, profile usage, font import and usage, actions, web galleries. CLASS 3: Introduction into layers, masking, channels, filter usage, image adjustments and basic retouching techniques. CLASS 4: Introduction into work flow (camera to desk top), image handling, bridge integration, ACR (Adjust Color Rendering) Raw file handling, importing, conversion (dng) and image corrections in ACR. CLASS 5: Bring in your own image for retouching, publishing, printing (print ready) We will be using what we have learned thus far to manipulate your images. I will work with each of you as much as possible. CLASS 6: This class is a complete review and testing of all the elements we have covered. Open to question and answer. I will show an intermediate video on a special technique and make that video available for your use later on. ----------------------------- This basic introduction to photoshop will cover everything from initial setup to basic retouching. The class curriculum will be part instructional and part hands on. We will also cover importing and exporting, bridge 1.0 connectivity, actions, tool usage, custom brushes, filters, layers, profile designations, meta data and Exif data. At the end of a series you will have a very good understanding of Photoshop and be able to retouch, create, and enjoy.
