Looking for suggestions on this. I took this the other night. very full moon on otherwise very dark night. I played a lot with the shutter speed and got this one after leaving the shutter open about 2 min. I like the effect but it has a ton of noise in it. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, A couple of suggestions. Even though you are shooting at night here unless your camera is specifically capable of "HIGH" ISO settings. I would use a low ISO. Use a wide open aperture setting and low shutter speed by experimenting (I think you got that part) on a tri-pod and a remote trigger (the camera can still have shake at such a low speed) BUT to work on this one.. I quickly showed a technique in class using channels and surface blur. I will need to post the tutorial and vidio on that technique. Also go ahead use your "healing" tool and fix any other small things you can.

It's also helpful to remember that the moon is a sunlit object - so the base exposure is f/16 at the reciprocal of the ISO (i.e. ISO 200 exposure would be f/16 at 1/200th of a second). Although you'd get a perfect exposure of the moon - the other details would be non-existent.
